აღაგზნებს (=ააგზნებს) 1. to excite, stimulate, arouse, fire up someone 2. to kindle, start a fire (old) // 1. jemanden erregen, aufregen, anregen aufreizen 2. ein Feuer entzünden, entfachen (alt)
💡
The phrase ის აგზნებს ცეცხლს is considered obsolete. Use this instead: ის ანთებს ცეცხლს - he is starting a fire // er zündet ein Feuer an.
This verb is also used to express sexually arousing someone, so use with care: ეროტიკული ფოტო აღაგზნებს ბიჭს - the erotic photo arouses the boy // das erotische Foto erregt den Jungen. Note that the preverb აღ- is used in the present here to emphasize the meaning. This is often done in many verbs - the formal future indicative with the preverb is used in both future and present as needed in Georgian!
